About exploration

FinnAust Mining Finland Oy was actively engaged in exploration only during the first half of 2015. FinnAust Mining Finland Oy has valid claims and exploration permits amounting to 10,788 hectares (numbering 73). The company has a claim or is engaged in exploration in the following permit areas: Hälvälä, Makkola, Enonkoski, Teyrisuo, Kokonvaara, Maljasalmi, Kumpu, Haaponiemi, Haapovaara, Viuruniemi, Sola, Kuusjärvi, Kesseli, Petäinen, Kettukumpu, Hietajärvi, Hammaslahti, Tikkala, Tohmajärvi, Rauta and Haapaselkä. In exploration and research, FinnAust Mining Finland Oy makes use of deep drilling, channel sampling, geophysical measurements and trenches dug by an excavator (only rarely). A total of 2.7km of deep drilling was carried out in 2015. The company has one permit subject to appeal in the exploration area. The areas subject to appeal are the 10 claims located in the Outokumpu area, the total area or which is 814.34 hectares. By decision of the Supreme Administrative Court of Finland, the appeal was rejected.
